The Columbia Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire at approximately 3:07 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Tragically, 46-year-old John Bidle was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency medical responders rushed the other two victims to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for urgent treatment.

Later that evening, 51-year-old Stacie Wright succumbed to her injuries during surgery, becoming the second fatality in this senseless act of violence. According to authorities, the third victim—whose identity has not yet been released—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.

Columbia Police confirmed that a 46-year-old male suspect has been arrested and is facing serious charges. These include two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
